Draft for legal review — not a published agreement

Newly authored copy for review. Company details, commercial policies, jurisdiction, and an effective date must be verified before publication. No effective date has been set.

01About these terms

These draft Terms & Conditions describe proposed rules for using AI Cover Autopilot, a tool for preparing paperback cover files from ebook artwork and manuscript information. They should be read alongside the plan details and any notices displayed when using the service.

This document is a review draft, not a published agreement. The contracting entity, eligibility requirements, effective date, and applicable jurisdiction must be confirmed before these terms are adopted. No effective date has been assigned.

02Accounts and eligibility

If an account is required, provide accurate registration information and keep your login credentials private. Use only an account you are authorized to access, and contact support if you believe someone has used your account without permission.

You are responsible for activity you authorize through your account. If you act for an organization, you should have permission to upload its materials and use the service on its behalf. Minimum age and capacity requirements remain subject to legal review.

03Your files and permissions

Upload only artwork, manuscripts, fonts, logos, and other material that you own or have permission to use. You are responsible for checking any third-party license restrictions, including restrictions on commercial use, editing, and print distribution.

The proposed permission to process uploaded files is limited to what is needed to provide the requested cover-preparation functions. This draft does not transfer ownership of your original work. The scope and duration of any processing license must be confirmed in the final agreement.

04Acceptable use

Do not use the service to infringe intellectual property, impersonate others, upload unlawful material, or interfere with another person’s use of the service. Do not attempt to bypass access controls, introduce malicious code, or obtain data you are not authorized to access.

Do not upload sensitive personal information that is unnecessary for cover preparation. You remain responsible for ensuring that your content and intended publication comply with applicable law and the rules of your chosen publishing platform.

05Generated covers and your review

Automated or AI-assisted output may contain errors, unexpected artwork changes, or unsuitable layout decisions. Review every generated cover before downloading, printing, or publishing. Check the title, author name, spine, back cover, barcode space, resolution, trim size, bleed, and safe zones.

Confirm that the final manuscript page count, paper selection, and publishing specifications match the cover you are preparing. Output is not a substitute for a proof copy or independent rights review. No guarantee of originality, commercial performance, or publishing-platform acceptance is made in this draft.

06Plans, payments, and refunds

Before purchasing, review the price, included usage, currency, taxes, and any renewal terms shown at checkout. Any subscription, credit, or download limits should be stated in the applicable plan information rather than inferred from this document.

Billing frequency, cancellation timing, credit expiry, and refund eligibility have not been supplied for this draft and must be confirmed before publication. No refund promise or automatic-renewal arrangement is established here. Mandatory consumer rights must be addressed in the final terms.

07Privacy and file handling

Review the published Privacy Policy for information about personal data, uploaded files, and service providers. Avoid including passwords, payment card details, or confidential information that is not needed to prepare your cover.

File retention, deletion procedures, security measures, and any use of uploads for model training require a verified policy. This draft makes no commitment about storage duration, encryption, training use, or deletion times. Those details must be aligned with actual service practices before release.

08Third-party platforms and services

AI Cover Autopilot is an independent tool and is not affiliated with Amazon or KDP. References to third-party platforms explain a workflow and do not imply sponsorship, endorsement, or approval.

Publishing platforms set their own technical and content requirements and may change them. Check the current requirements of your chosen platform before uploading. Third-party websites and services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

09Availability, suspension, and closure

Service features may depend on technical systems or third-party providers. Do not rely on this draft as a commitment to uninterrupted access, a particular processing time, permanent file storage, or the continued availability of any feature.

The final terms should explain when access may be restricted or an account closed, what notice is appropriate, how a user can raise a concern, and what happens to files or unused paid usage. These procedures remain to be confirmed; no specific notice period is stated here.

10Disclaimers and responsibility

You should independently assess whether a generated file is suitable for your book, your publishing platform, and your intended commercial use. Keep your own copies of source material and approved output. Cover preparation does not include legal advice or a guarantee that third-party rights have been cleared.

Any warranty exclusions, liability limits, indemnities, and exceptions must be drafted for the applicable jurisdiction and reviewed by qualified counsel. This draft does not set a financial liability cap or limit rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

11Changes, governing law, and disputes

The final agreement should identify how changes to these terms are communicated and when they take effect. A published version should include a verified effective date and a clear process for material changes. This review draft does not establish a notice period.

Governing law, forum, dispute-resolution procedures, and the contracting entity’s legal details have not been provided. They must be completed after legal review. No arbitration requirement, class-action waiver, or choice of jurisdiction is proposed as an established policy here.

12Questions about these terms

If you have a question about these terms or need clarification before using the service, use the Contact Us page and choose the most relevant subject. Include enough context to explain your question without sharing unnecessary sensitive information.

Before publication, the service operator should add its verified legal name, business contact details, and any legally required notices. The contact route shown in this design does not establish a response-time commitment.
